Return Policy
My Precious Gems Returns & Refund Policy
This policy outlines the conditions under which gemstones may be returned. Returns are accepted only under the terms described below.
Return Eligibility
- You may request a return within 14 days of delivery.
- All return requests must be approved by us in advance before the gemstone is shipped back.
- The gemstone must be in its original condition, loose (not set into jewelry), and unaltered.
- All original certificates, packaging, and documentation must be included.
- Returns will not be accepted if the gemstone has been:
- Set, scratched, chipped, fractured, or reweighed
- Modified or altered in any way
“Original condition” means the gemstone must be free from damage, wear, or alteration, and must match the exact state in which it was sold.
Determination of whether a gemstone meets this definition is at the sole discretion of My Precious Gems.
Responsibility for the gemstone transfers to the buyer upon delivery. The buyer is liable for any loss, damage, or alteration that occurs thereafter.
Inspection and Verification
Each gemstone is carefully examined, photographed, and documented prior to dispatch to confirm its condition and authenticity.
Refunds
If your return request is approved, we will provide instructions for safely returning the gemstone.
Refunds are issued once the gemstone has been received and verified to be in its original condition.
Shipping and insurance costs are non-refundable, and you are responsible for safely returning the gemstone.
Third-Party Handling
We are not responsible for any damage, loss, or alteration caused by third-party jewellers, appraisers, or couriers once delivery has been confirmed.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

Additional Disclaimers
Colour & Photography Disclaimer
We make every effort to present each gemstone as accurately as possible. However, variations in lighting, photography methods, and screen calibration may cause colours to appear slightly different on your device compared to the gemstone in person. Such variations are natural and do not constitute grounds for return or refund.
Certification Disclaimer
Any gemological reports or certificates accompanying a gemstone represent the opinion of the issuing laboratory at the time of examination. While My Precious Gems works only with reputable and recognized gemological institutions, we are not responsible for any differences of opinion between laboratories or gemologists.
Treatment & Stability Disclaimer
Some gemstones available in the market may have undergone treatments — such as heating, irradiation, or other enhancement methods — to improve or alter their colour or appearance. These treatments are not always detectable and may not always be disclosed by upstream suppliers. Over time, gemstones that have been irradiated or otherwise treated may naturally change or fade in colour. My Precious Gems cannot guarantee the permanence of any colour that results from such treatments and will not accept returns, refunds, or claims relating to colour changes or fading over time.
