What Is Fanta Garnet?
Fanta garnet is a trade name for top-colour spessartite garnet, a naturally occurring mineral coloured by manganese. Genuine fanta garnet is always untreated. Heat and other enhancements do not work on this species. Sri Lankan and Namibian deposits produce the most desirable specimens, and supply is limited relative to demand.
Size, Price & Rarity
Clean fanta garnet above 1 carat is already considered collector-grade; above 2 carats the price-per-carat increases significantly. Our 1.55ct radiant-cut fanta garnet is Ceylon-origin, certified, and priced at $800 AUD. That is a strong value-to-colour ratio in the fanta category.
